Plastering as a trade - I LOVE IT!
Many people love doing a bit of DIY because it saves a bit of money and it gives us a sense of achievement. Most of us will do a bit of tiling or a bit of carpentery but one thing I've found over the years, is that when it comes to plastering you're better off getting a professional. I'm not just saying that to get work, but if you want a straight, flat smooth finish in readiness for painting or wallpapering, it really is worth your time and money to get a pro. It won't cost as much as you think and it'll be done in no time.
DIY'ers try to get plaster as smooth as I can (and believe me I've seen their "smooth" attempts. Frightening!) but if you don't know about the chemical reaction different plasters have with air and water - you're fighting a losing battle!

Don't worry about how small the job is, or how big either. I'll talk you through the whole process and determine a time to suit you. Keeping my customers happy is my Number One priority.
Don't try and cover bad uneven walls with thick lining paper hoping it'll eventually be smooth. Get it re-plastered!. Then you're ready to start decorating properly, from a clean blank canvas. I want your home to look as good as you do, believe me!
